So my mom is visiting us for the weekend which she does all the time to spend time with our daughter. A few days before her visit she told me she got a cold sore which okay I get them so I’m super cautious.

I mean I don’t even kiss my daughter on the face or hands out of fear.

So I told my mom no kissing and stuff and I bought hand sanitizer to be safe because I know when you don’t get them often you can randomly touch it.

I’m overly cautious when it comes to anyone who comes near my daughter with one but my mom acts like I singled her out. I’ve explained why it’s serious and yet when I ask her if she needs hand sanitizer she looks at me like an asshole.

I’m really not trying to be a jerk or rude or anything and like I said I get them so when I get one I’ll be ridiculous about washing hands and all that so it’s nothing I don’t expect from myself.

It just makes me so anxious and a little irritated that she doesn’t seem to understand or respect my concern.
