I’m 26, and since I was about 14 years old, I’ve been watching my own birth on VHS.

I am not close to my birth mother, but it’s always been the most miraculous thing to watch. Seeing her in a way I never have before.

It’s just the most beautiful thing to see as a daughter.

I have looked forward to the day that I become a mother specifically for this moment.

I have been so excited because I couldn’t wait to have the birth recorded and something for us 2 to cherish and look back on.

Now I found out my hospital doesn’t allow it... Why? Because you have trash doctors that are afraid they’ll get sued for negligence? Not surprised.

This hospital treated me HORRIBLE with prior stays for my lupus issues, however they’re top rated. So I’m not shocked that this is a policy. They probably have people wanting to sue their doctors all of the time.

I’m more disappointed than anything... I feel like we should have every right to record ESPECIALLY with how many things we hear about doctors doing wrong nowadays. How is this any different the recording the police ? Should be for our own safety.

So annoyed and sad. Just venting. 😒

...and if you’re offended by my comment about trash doctors, keep scrolling. I’ve had amazing doctors, and I’ve had horrible ones. You never know what you’re gonna get. Post was CLEARLY about me being upset with a recording policy lol? People just LOVE to argue and this wasn’t even an arguable post... 😂
