If I went to the ER thinking I have a kidney infection would they test for pregnancy?

Last night I went to the ER in bad pain. I had to give a blood and urine sample. It turns out it was just a UTI. But would they have tested for pregnancy along with testing for a UTI? I’m 12 dpo and i guess if they did test then I’m out for this month...

Usually if you're a female of child bearing age they will do a urine test for pregnancy just in case so they know what they can give you in the event of an emergency (seizures, loss of consciousness, emergent surgery). If the urine comes back positive they will sometimes do a blood test to cross check.

yes they will check for pregnancy when you end up with a uti. but it’s still early & their tests aren’t as sensitive as frer
