It was a total accident, but my dad always wears shirts with pockets. He usually has pens or his reading glasses and I constantly tell him to be careful.

He loves holding his only grandson but always says how overprotective I am 😬. Today I handed him over for once without saying anything and hear my son scream in pain a second later. He hiked him up and his reading glasses basically jabbed and scratched my son across his whole belly. It looks like a cat scratched him. He feels awful, I feel awful. Little man seems fine and we’re putting bacitracin on the scratch. It’s very red. The paranoia in me is worried it jabbed deeper into his belly than we could tell. He seems fine, but I know I’ll have trouble sleeping tonight worrying that he has internal bleeding or something. Little man had just gotten over an awful diaper rash and teething this whole week and now this!
