My husband and I went for our first ultrasound last Wednesday. We were so excited... especially considering we had a very early loss (about 5 weeks) just in November.

They weren’t able to detect a heartbeat, (9 weeks) but the baby was only a few days behind on growth. Doctor said that it’s a missed miscarriage and that I should expect to start bleeding within the next two weeks.

Could it be a mistake? What should I expect? Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation? Any idea why it happened twice in a row?
