Baby shower at 36 weeks?

This is the date my mil chose without discussing anything with me. I feel like I’m going to be huge and not in the mood to entertain that far along.  Has anyone else had their baby shower this late?

I'm also having mine at 36 weeks. It's the only weekend my mother (who is throwing it for me) could travel before the baby is born. I'm a little nervous tbh, because at that stage anything could happen.

Yikes! I wouldn’t want a shower that late. I also had all of my babies by 36 weeks so I never had a shower pregnant. I had my shower scheduled for 30 weeks. Most friends and family had their showers between 30-34 weeks so they had time to get everything put away and buy any items they needed.

I had mine at 33 weeks and I feel like that was the perfect time. I’m 36 weeks now and I cannot imagine sorting through everything and doing all that laundry and organizing and everything else you have to do after the shower. I would see if she can do it earlier.

I had mine at 35 weeks! It was fine! I had plenty of time to get everything sorted (my hubby helped) and even though I don’t like being the center of attention, it was a good time. I did have swollen legs too, I just made sure when I got up that morning, I put my nylons on and the shoes I was going to wear to the shower and finished getting dressed later.

I am having a work baby shower at 32 weeks with a co worker and a family thing at 38 weeks. I am 30 weeks at the mo and doing fine so fingers crossed I'll manage. I am working until half way through the next week anyway so if I can teach 30 kids I can definitely sit and eat cake haha. 
The family one is just at my parents a few miles up the road so I can just go to bed if I need to lol. It was the only weekend some extended family could come.

She chose a date and didn’t ask if you were available? That’s weird and pretty inconsiderate, make her change it lol. Tell her you’re busy that day/weekend.
