My surrogate daughter and I are defeating the odds 👏🏼
At 25 weeks my surrogate daughter and I went into full blown labor and were admitted to the hospital where we had a 5 day stay and were finally able to go home on thanksgiving. We were told that

babies were hard to carry and we would be lucky to make it to 32 weeks. When week 32 came around the Dr seemed baffled as for she didn’t think I would make this far, I joked about seeing her on week 38, she calmly stated let’s just get to week 34 first.... when week 34 came it was apparent that my Drs initial thoughts were blowing up in her own mind 😂 here we are at at week 37 and I’m so beyond excited that we’ve made it this far, my surro daughter is such a fighter and her parents are going to be so amazed with what she does in life!!! We have a dr check up today and I can’t wait to hear what she has to say this time so stay tuned 😇 HERES TO WEEK 37 🎉
Update: to let everyone know what my dr said she was speechless! She said baby is healthy and growing perfectly and left with I would say you won’t make it any further then 38 weeks but I’m sure you two will prove me wrong yet again 😂 we had a good giggle and said hopefully see you next week on Wednesday ♥️ Thank you everyone for the well wishes and praises, I’d do this whole process over again even though this one has been difficult just for the simple fact that I’m in love with being able to give a family just a precious gift and couldn’t imagine being told that I couldn’t carry and this was our only option beside adoption. My husband and I do plan on adopting in the future as well, love goes around in many ways ♥️ #makingfamilies
Also to clarify why as a surrogate IVF is harder:
yes some women can have a term IVF baby but it’s harder on other women regardless. What makes my situation as a IVF carrier hard is that this baby is 100% not mine as for other women who need IVF it’s their egg (most of the time) so there is that magnetic connection between their uterus and egg/embryo that was created. As for mine it is like having one magnet flipped so there’s almost a push and pull for the embryo and it was forced to stick there knowing it has no connection to me. I hope that makes sense and clarified what I meant by my statement, it’s not possible to carry to 40 weeks with an IVF baby I know this, but there’s different factors that hit my situation and make it harder.
