Hey ladies!

Quick question. Is it possible to ovulate later than expected, even if my expected period is a week away?

My fiancé and I use the “family planning” method and just avoid my fertile week, but other than that we use no form of birth control. It’s worked for 3 years.

Anyway, I track my fertile week and ovulation on 3 apps and it seems to be fairly accurate. My fertile week was over 5 days ago, but this morning I had a ton of ewcm... like a lot.

I forgot to let my fiancé know that it was possible I was ovulating late. I took a nap and he woke me up to some pretty great sex and he ended up coming inside.

So, sorry for the long story, but is it possible to ovulate this late before a period? Trying to avoid getting pregnant, although it won’t be the worst thing if it does happen. Just curious.

I feel like I should add that on top of using apps, I do usually take opks to double check. We were visiting my parents and family up north and hadn’t had sex in a while, so as soon as the chance arose, we did it. Because we were on vacation with my family, I did not expect that we would do “it”, so I didn’t bring anything (such as opks) and figured I was in the clear since I’m usually very regular.
