I went to have my Kyleena IUD removed today, and the doctor couldn’t get it to budge.

I’ve been having pelvic pain and weird period cramps for about as long as I’ve had it, and my old doctor (before we moved) told me that it was normal and my body was just adjusting... and now, it won’t come out. My new doctor tried 3 times before he decided that I need to get an ultrasound etc., and I’m honestly terrified.

My insertion was easy as can be, barely any pain, had some cramping but nothing terrible, no bleeding, I’ve had light periods... if today had gone smoothly, I’d have thanked my little plastic friend for its service and moved ahead, but now...

Has anyone else had difficulty with the removal? I’m really nervous now, and am looking for some reassurance...
