Was it obvious when your waters broke?

Question

I’m 40 weeks on Friday. And I’m worried I won’t notice when my waters break because I’ve been told it can be a slow dribble. And sometimes I have a bit of light watery discharge anyways. (Doctors have checked me yesterday at the general checkup and everything’s still in tact)

Yes! I literally felt it pop and it started gushing out.

With my first my water broke right before pushing/ it felt like someone dumped a big bucket of water out of me. With my 2nd- I was induced and they broke my water for me and I didn’t even know they were done - it was obvious when I stood up to go to the bathroom and was leaking all sorts of grossness lol

We have two types of waters!
Back waters and then membrane waters which is on top of the babys head.
With both babies my back waters always went first.  
My first baby was induced and it felt like I had pissed myself but was maybe a cup full amount.... My other waters had to be broken fully dilated, my son was back to back. 
My recent baby, daughter she was in the correct position - had a sweep done and my midwife accidently broke my back water. When I went into labour the next day my waters broke on their own this time and I literally said out loud "iv either pissed myself or my waters have gone" 😅

Mine was obvious I was in the hospital and waiting for my midwife to come take out my cervidil and try the balloon and as she was coming down the hallway I went to meet her and it was a massive gush everywhere, it was constant leaking afterwards I was using newborn nappies to help aha, but with my sister in-laws first she dribbled for a few days before her contractions started and she went into labour but she didn’t know it was her waters

Mine was dribbling. I was asleep on my back (i dont fall asleep that way my body just does it lol) and woke up to a little trickle through my butt lol i jumped up to get to the toilet. But i noticed the little trickle carry on. Within an hour i was contracting and lost my plug. My midwife had to break them properly at 6cm

It sometimes can not be obvious. It actually can leak for days, but still you feel leaking then. It depends where the sack pops. But, mostly it is quite obvious.

Yep very obvious and luckily I just sat in the toilet both times 🤣

Mine was I got up at 12am and water came out and then it wouldn’t stop. It wasn’t a gush but it was wet and wouldn’t stop lol
