36 weeks Anemic?

I’m 36.2 today and just found out that I am anemic and being put on iron tablets. Looking for anyone who is going through this or has been through this. Words of encouragement or tips and tricks to get through?

Me! I was put on iron tablets at around 30 weeks I think. I was so tired all the time and having heart palpitations. Stay away for tea/coffee and drink plenty of orange juice as it helps absorb the iron better. Also eat plenty of iron rich foods! All your greens! You’ll be fine! As soon as your tablets get in to your system, you’ll feel so much better 😊 it’s soooo common in pregnancy too x

I am anemic. My ferritin level was 9 and they want it to go up as much as possible before I give birth (past 100, 200 would be great). The hematologist told me just taking iron pills would definitely not be enough. After four iron IV it's only at 56... I will probably have IVs until I give birth in 5 weeks or so.

I am on this as of 30 weeks. Has made me need to poop a lot and I'm having high energy whereas before I was feeling so tired. My level was a 9 before I was put on iron.

Went through it in my last pregnancy and this pregnancy. I’m 33 weeks now with severe anemia . I’ve had 3 iron infusions so far may need one more 👀

Both pregnancies!  Doc just put me on iron tablets again a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I have Hyperemesis Gravidarum, so I usually end up throwing up the tablets :/ Try orange juice with it and just make sure you’re eating iron rich foods. These babies take up everything in our bodies! Haha.

You’ll feel amazing once the tablets kick in. I’m anemic all the time (not just in pregnancy) and I always feel an energy boost when I take my pills. Take them with orange juice for better absorption.

my tablets make me sick, i cant have oranges so they prescribed me vitamin c pills instead .
