So I had been dating my sons father for about 2 years only met his parents a few times while dating, shortly after our second year I found out that I was pregnant with my son and his father immediately told me that he wanted nothing to do him but he wanted to stay together with me. We split up and I don't see him for the majority of my pregnancy until one day 7 months in he shows up on my doorstep drunk, and because I loved him... I would never let him drive home drunk. Fast forward our son is 8 weeks old, he still shows up drunk every so often apologizing. Now as far as I know he hasn't told his parents or siblings that he has fathered a child. So I received a job offer across the country where I can be surrounded by family and friends but he doesn't want me to go... so in his word he can "have the opportunity to be a dad". I'm not sure what is the right answer.
