Moms - What would you advise ur past FTM self?

If you could go back in time and talk to your past “first time mom” self, what would you have told or advised yourself?

Don’t get induced unless a medical need arises, past due date is not a medical need.

Oh also, a “Birth Plan” is more like a “birth wish list” because it is more likely for it to go nothing like you planned than for it all to go as planned. I wouldn’t trade my birth experience for the world, but it isn’t at all what I had planned in my head. The only thing that really happened my way was that I was able to deliver vaginally. 🤷🏼‍♀️

No one has rights to your baby, but you and the father. Don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise. When you’re in labor or after the baby is born, it’s okay to want some privacy. Also, it’s okay to tell people “This is my baby and I can handle it myself. I do not need your input.”

Don’t sweat the little things, in the long run it won’t make a difference

Baby will not know the difference in the colour of their clothes or there room. Don’t sweat it if it doesn’t work out before babe is born.

Each stage your in feels like it will last forever, but it won’t. And when it’s gone, you’ll miss it, so be present and enjoy every moment as much as you can.
