I’m 12 weeks and smoke. I hate it. I’m embarrassed. I know I’m bad whatever. But I want to quit. Any moms on here smoke? If I quit now does my child stand a chance or do y’all think it’s too late? :(

It would make a tremendous difference if u stop. The development that takes place from here on out is huge.
All these people saying “so and so smoked and their babies turned out fine”...have their babies had a complete lung scan and had all of their organs examined?! Didn’t think so. The long term affects are often dismissed because you can’t physically see any affect from smoking while pregnant. 
You are already making the right decision by considering quitting. You can do it and u will feel so much better if u do!

You can still quit and it have no affect. I honestly smoked my entire first pregnancy. A lot less but I still smoked. My doctor said that with the stress I had from my situation at the time, it was more dangerous to quit smoking rather than cut down and have something to alleviate the stress. My daughter was/is perfectly fine. Born full term, 7lbs 12oz. Just discuss how to quit with a doctor❤ good luck! With my current pregnancy I quit around 12 weeks and it's been hard but I feel really proud of myself! I crave them do badly now though. Just the taste🤢

You shouldn't have to feel judged but that's just this app for ya x 🙄
No it's never too late. I'm sure there are groups run by the hospitals that can help you out. Say it to your ob or midwife. 
The sooner you do stop the better for both you and baby x I've never heard of anyone who regretted giving up smoking, you can definitely do this xx

I found out I was pregnant when I was 6 weeks, I managed to quit within two weeks, I just cut down day by day, then had half cigs. The first three days with no cigs were by far the hardest!! But from there it was easy I don’t even think about it now and my partner still smokes. Two months smoke free! The earlier you quit the better it is for baby, I was over the moon when I had my first midwife appointment and the CO2 monitor was normal!

Try to reduce as much as you can and use nicoret gums to help. That is what I did in the first weeks to help me quit. Cigarettes are really not that bad compare to alcohol lets say. Multiple studies shown that even quitting for the last 4 weeks made a difference in the babys weight so its definitively not to late to make a huge difference. Also, other studies shown that replacing half of the cigarette you smoke with nicotine supplement also helped having a normal weight at birth. You got this ! do your best to reduce and gradually quit and dont feel guilty if you cant quit cold turkey, guilt will just want to make you smoke more.

I smoked with my first I quit for a few weeks when I first found out then picked it up again then I quit around 20-25 weeks my baby was fine my midwife wasn’t judgmental or concerned as I had cut back a lot only have a couple a day before I stopped

I found out when I was 5 weeks. I gave up straight away, the thought of my baby being passed that nasty stuff was too much for me.
Threw my cigarettes away as soon as that test came back positive

My sister smoked her whole pregnancy no matter how much we told her to stop she never did . My Nieces came out fine .. she used to yell at us and say “you’re not my doctor!” Even though we would do it out of concern 🤷🏽‍♀️

Even if they did judge they have no room to because that's God's job. & quitting now versus quitting later is much much better than not doing anything at all. Just get the help that you need. Your doctor can give you information and things like that but it'll be healthy for you and your baby if you stop. At least you're wanting to actually address it. Some women don't care and still drink or smoke and take pills and everything else. They always have a hotline for help too!! You can get through this!! Praying for you!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
