When to have baby shower?

Question

Would you prefer to have your baby shower at either 29 weeks or 36 weeks? My best friend who is throwing my baby shower will be away overseas in between these weeks. We were thinking 36 weeks but I wonder if this is too late?

I’d rather 29week personally.... you’re not as big so you’re able to be more comfortable and enjoy yourself and it gives you plenty of time to set everything up and get whatever else you need.

Definitely 29 weeks.  I’d be too worried about baby making an early entrance at 36. 😬

29 weeks. You’re not super far along so if you need to exchange things or return things, finish shopping for things you didn’t get - you’re not overly huge and uncomfortable to get it done

29 weeks, I had my mine at 32 weeks and at 34 weeks I was in the hospital. 35 weeks I had my son

I had my first at 35 weeks and gave birth at 37 weeks. Then my next I had my shower at 36 weeks and gave birth at 39 weeks. Both ways worked out fine.

I personally think it’s sooo rude to give someone a last minute shower. You need to be prepared not waiting until the last minute

I almost missed my baby shower at 36 weeks due to a random high blood pressure and prodomal labor.

Much rather 29 weeks that way you have time to prepare and get anything else needed. Also at 36 weeks a lot of time you’re so big and Uncomfortable that you won’t be able to enjoy it. My showers will be at 31 & 33 weeks.

I would have preferred to have mine earlier, but I'm having mine next week at 36 weeks, had my first around the same time too.

36 weeks for me. I'm 35 weeks and will be 35+4 the day of my baby shower.
