Would you try to get pregnant if you still have debts ($30000+) to pay off and you’re 35?

It's a fact that you may or may not have many years of fertility left at that age. (I'm 35 myself.) So if you want to have kids, I would not recommend waiting to even start in order to pay down that debt (which I'd assume would take years).

I had almost $50,000 in student loans and took out a $45,000 loan for a Jeep when I was pregnant. My daughter is now 13 months, Jeep is paid off and loans are almost half paid off. 
My point is, circumstances change. Have a kid if you want.

It's all subjective. 
If your debt is to the extent that you are struggling to pay your bills and put food on the table I would be seriously trying to weigh up what you can do to free up money. Particularly given that if you are unfortunate to have issues during your pregnancy you may  not be able to keep working. 
But if you've got debt, from student loans, a mortgage, car, whatever, but it's not really impacting your day to day life then I wouldn't let it influence my decision to have a child. 
$30,000 in debt for person A could be nothing, just a single monthly repayment but for person B could be from unpaid Bill's that have spiralled and keeps them up at night and have threatening letters sent to them.

I’m 35 and have about $600,000 in debt (house). We can easily afford our payments and have life insurance in case anything happens to one of us so that we can pay off that debt. We have relatively stable jobs, though you never know. 
Having debt doesn’t mean that you aren’t financially stable. I’d make sure that you can afford your payments or have a plan to get there by the time a baby comes.
But you don’t have a ton of time if you want to conceive naturally, especially if you’re hoping to have more than one. If you’re going for just one, I’d take a few months to get my finances in order before TTC.

You are never gonna be totally ready for a baby. I had to convince my husband of this. There are always gonna be things to pay for and you will manage to get it done even with a child involved. I am 30 and just had my first baby. I am not about putting my whole life on hold to pay off all of our debt.

I wouldn't put off having a baby because of this. We all will die with some kind of debt anyways 🤷🏽. I wouldn't let that stop me from having a baby though. It's just something you have to think about plus it's more risks after 35.

I owe 65k in student loans. I currently stay home with my 2yo and am pregnant. Once the youngest goes to school I’ll start substitute teaching and have them paid off in about four years. Not worried.
