So I was laid off from work (along with my entire team)last week with an end date of june 30. Well I came into work today, and everyone was acting really weird...🙄🤷‍♀️ we all have days, so I just shrugged it off because everyone has been acting a little differently since finding out about the layoffs. Well, all of a sudden my work email starts blowing up! I'm getting target e gift cards left and right. Now, I just figured that these are from the people that cant make it to my scheduled shower tomorrow, so I thought nothing of it. The whole job was invited to my personal shower anyways. Well around 11am, the head of HR asked me to stop in her office to talk about my options after maternity leave. I go speak to her and she offers me pretty much any open position at the company without having to apply or interview! Which was a complete change from the conversation that was had at the team layoff meeting. She also let me know how valued I am at the company and how much I am appreciated and supported. Well little did I know, the rest of the company was upstairs getting the party ready! My supervisor came to find me and took me upstairs saying that the CEO wanted to track to me as well 🤷‍♀️ so I'm all "ok, let's go! ". Well, she led me into the party room and boom 🎉"SURPRISE"🎉 I was completely thrown off! Such a nice turn out too! I was blessed with so many clothes, diapers and wipes... and to top it off, once I got home I counted up all the gift card's and there was well over $300! I was completely unprepared for this! So glad I'm not really a cryer😂😂 I'm still in shock! 🥰🥰
