No, everyone i know thats done it have split up within a year of having the tats done, so i know that cover ups are painful and expensive.
I don’t mind getting something that symbolises the relationship instead that could also mean something else.

Name? No. A symbol of him? Yes. For example I love his long red hair, he happens to be half irish so I'd maybe do a red clover. I'd love to put his Greek side in that symbol somehow but I have no idea how to and I dont honestly know a lot of Greek symbols so I dont want to just pick one and maybe it means something bad lol. But yeah, symbols, no names. Why? Because while my tattoos are like the journal of my life, people will constantly come and go where as my tattoos cannot. Symbols change meaning all the time. So in my example, maybe my original red clover was for him, now we are broken up, and now I can think of my red clover as something else. A symbol for the experience I went through. Or whatever lol.

My husband has my name and I have his. Prior to the tattoo the artist asked us multiple times if we were sure and it’s a curse. He said he’s covered soooo many names up.
We did it, no regrets.
