Going out on period

hey y’all I’m pretty much new to my period I’ve probably only had it for around 8 months now so I’m not really used to it, but I usually plan around going anywhere when I’m going to be on it but tonight I have a birthday party at someone’s house / shopping. I know to bring pads but any extra advice I could use to still have a good time?
