UTI ?

Question

Where would you go to get tested for a UTI? L&D is 50 min away, my OB is closed bc it’s the weekend. Should I wait till tmr or go to an urgent care? I have no symptoms other than my bladder/pelvic area actually hurting. I’m 36+4. Is this a normal symptom or could it be a UTI?

Any urgent care can test for a UTI quickly with a urine sample. Go get it checked out.

That kind of pain could just be related to just being pregnant. I would give your on call a ring and check if they think it needs to be addressed today.

I would go get checked just to have peace of mind of what it is or isn’t.  I had a bad bladder infection back at the beginning of January and didn’t go get it checked although I didn’t have hardly any symptoms that would alert me to that.  Anyways long story short I ended up passing out, dizziness, shortness of breath.  Had to go to the hospital to get all checked out turns out that I had a bad bladder infection that was heading towards my kidneys which that and low potassium and iron lead to all of that.  I would recommend to get checked so it doesn’t lead to anything else even if you aren’t having any symptoms

A lot of drug stores have at home UTI kits. If positive just call the OBs office and talk to whoever is on call, tell them you had a positive test at home and they’ll call you in antibiotics
