I want to have a baby shower as this may be my only pregnancy and I want to really celebrate the life I’m bringing into this world.

My only problem is that there is so much overlapping drama in my most prominent social spheres it’s exhausting

My in laws( I live far from my family like 2,000 miles away) are not queer friendly but my close friends and I are all queer

My work associates are queer friendly but I wouldn’t want to invite them all but it would be a really tense and horrible atmosphere and I don’t want to do that since I’m currently on great terms with everyone

Ugh and tbh I’m newish to their area so I have friends, work associates and in laws to choose from

How did you all navigate this issue?
