It depends. Did a child do it? Were they desperate to buy food but embarrassed to ask? On drugs? An adult just being a selfish douche? I think there needs to be more information.

I could potentially forgive but not forget. For someone to do that, I would HOPE that they had some bad shit going on in their personal life that maybe they needed support for. But I wouldn’t trust that person again ever cuz that’s low as hell!

Forgive, yes. Forget, no. You should really forgive them because there is no use in holding onto a grudge or staying mad at someone’s mistakes. But never forget that they did that to you and your child. That is cruel and desperate.. keep that in mind before letting that person in your home or involved in your life.

My aunt stole my piggy bank... my mom and I forgave her. I was pretty young so I don’t remember much but that’s not the worst thing she’s done....
