Not sick with a cough or anything it’s just scratchy and somewhat irritated. No pain just irritated, I’m not sure what I can take

Have a teaspoon of honey. Or mix honey and lemon in warm water and drink. It will sooth your throat

Halls cough drops are safe. They can help soothe a sore throat. 
This is the safe list my OB gave me. There’s not anything specific to sore throat though...

I’ve been having apple cider vinegar and honey in warm water for my scratchy throat. It’s amazing. Otherwise just a spoon of honey
