TTC after 10 years 😳

Me and my high school sweetheart have been together since we were 17. We had our son at 19 and struggled a lot but we have slowly but surely pulled ourselves out of the hole we’ve been in.

We have recently started trying to conceive our second child after years of fighting about him not wanting more and it being a deal breaker for me. He finally broke, at first I thought it was all talk. He works out of town, so it’s easy for him to say the right words. But, he came home and we tried that night. I honestly never thought it would happen, that this is where we would be after all the arguments and tears. After all the no’s. And he really seems excited about it.

Besides being extremely excited that it’s finally happening, I’m really nervous.

I have all these reasons why it might not be a good idea like, Am I too old; the kids will have too big of an age gap; maybe I’ll want a third; can we afford it; will my oldest feel forgotten about;

Has anyone ever gone through this? Or have any advice for me it is greatly appreciated! ❤️
