Will UHC cover my NIPT exam?

So my fiancé has a family history of autism and I have a relative with Down syndrome. I wanted to ask my OB if I could get the NIPT exam to see my results but since this is my first baby idk if my insurance will cover it. Does anyone have United Healthcare? And did it cover your NIPT exam?

Most insurance will cover it if there’s history of that in families. It’s best to call and they’ll let you know as plans vary.

United covered a 16 week genetic blood test for me!! I would call and see what they cover !

Call UHC to check or ask your obs office. Your obs office may be able to send a pre-auth for it since your family has history of chromosomal issues.
