How to clean teething dummy clips?

So we recently purchased a few teething dummy clips bc let's face it, they're amazing.
But omg don't they get dirty! The string has gone grey and the dummy itself is picking up so much dirt!
Read a few stuff online saying that you shouldn't sterilise them as silicone is naturally bacteria free, but just wondering what you gals thought.

Anything like that for toys and paci clips we soak in a small bucket of hot soapy water. Swish it around and let it stay in there for an hour. Then rinse it well and if we question it still being clean we do it a 2nd time. Then let stay in clear water and swish thoroughly. We’ve always been afraid of soap poisoning bc I had it as a kid. Lol, so we always rinse twice.

I toss mine in the dishwasher or wash them with dish soap and hot water. One is silicone, plastic clip and the string and the other is silicone, metal and wood clip and string. If you want to use the dishwasher and arent sure how they will handle it, try the top rack first

I put them through the washing machine and I wash the Dummies in hot soapy water then goes through the Steriliser.
