Hubby and I were gifted a babymoon/meet some friends for superbowl weekend about 3 hours from where we live. (This is our 3rd and we didn't do a shower/sprinkle). We left Friday and by the time we got there I was having some contractions and "weird" discharge (ONLY when I would have a super intense contraction or went to the bathroom). They never got super consistent or anything so I brushed them off and continued with our relaxing kid free weekend. Well Sunday came and I was still having these contractions and the discharge was still happening consistently so I called my on call doctor after googling that it could be my amniotic fluid that's leaking) and she told me not to worry or rush back that it was "normal". Well we decided we would stay until the game was over but drive back a day early and go straight to get checked. Turns out my water broke and baby was blocking the hole so that's why it was a slow leak. I was in active labor by the time we got to the hospital and had the baby at 35 week and 2 hours. No NICU stay or interventions, I am so grateful it turned out so well considering how horribly wrong it could have gone.
