is Azithromycin safe during pregnancy?

I was prescribed Azithromycin for an infection and I am 8w5d pregnant. My doctor said it would be fine but I googled it and the first thing that popped up was a 65% increase in miscarriage.........Now I dont want to take it........

Your dr wouldn’t have prescribed it to you if the benefit didn’t outweigh the risk.  Infection can cause miscarriage as well as problems for you.

I took it in my first trimester no problems. The risk of infection getting out of control is worse. Dr google is a bad place to go for info
