Is it safe to drive 13 hrs with new born?

My family and I have to drive to Dc from Chicago. Is it safe to do that with a 6 wk old baby ?

We travelled a lot with my son, and the important part was to stop every 1-1.5 hours when he was 6 weeks old for about 15-30 minutes to give him a stretch and a snack. Ideally you'd break that drive up into two days, but as long as you give your babe regular breaks it should be alright. Keep an eye on their temperature too, it's easy for them to be too hot or too cold in the back seat.

Safe? Yes. Will it be easy? Absolutely not lol. You’ll have to take many stops to change diapers, feed, and just to get them out of the car seat. Hopefully baby will sleep a lot that’ll make it a lot easier
