Has anyone been diagnosed with Group B Strep? Apparently it’s a naturally occurring bacteria, and I’ve read that 25-30% of women have it. I was told I would be treated with antibiotics during labor to help keep me from passing it to my baby. Some of what I’m reading acts like it’s not a big deal, but some of what I’m reading is telling me it can cause me to go into preterm labor, miscarry, or that my baby will be stillborn. Obviously that is terrifying, and I’m wondering if anyone else has or had this and how their labors went.
