This morning while I slept my niece,who has a set of keys to my home in case of emergency, came in crying. Saying she fought with her mother and that her mother told her she was going to call CPS so they take her into foster care, also that she didn’t want her around and to get out her life. My niece was in tears. Not knowing what to do and being fearful about confrontation with my sister, I called my mother, who called my other sister. My other sister advised me to take my niece to school but to calm her down first. I did just that. In my mind I thought my sister would notify the nieces mother she had been with me and whatnot. I thought I avoided an argument but no.

She called me saying I should’ve never opened the door, she was getting really aggressive and loud so I told her to calm down, that I only calmed her fed her and took her to school. She hung up. I understand I should’ve called but she gives me anxiety and I didn’t want my baby to see me like that.
