I'm taking a flight to a different state in a month to move in with my family.

I'm only taking clothes (i dont have a large wardrobe) and idk what kind of luggage i need to buy. ive never been on a flight before lmao idk how this works. i tried looking it up but articles ive read make everything so overly complicated and miss the point.

-i tried talking to my mom but she gave me the same ol "money is gonna be tight, we'll see". (she says that every time i ask for something- for the past five years 🥴🥴) i just want to talk about WHAT ill need to buy and things ill need to know but she gets angry at me when i ask lmao not getting into that-

does anyone have recommendations for luggage? or any tips for someone who hasn't ever stepped foot in an airport? id be really grateful for any responses!!
