Are (did) you having 6 week postpartum ultrasound?

Anyone know why? I never had one with my first pregnancy. This was a normal pregnancy and delivery so idk why I’d be getting one.

My doc is considering one because they're 6 weeks and I'm still bleeding

I had to get my uterus checked. When I went for my post partum check at 4 weeks, she said my uterus felt weird. So she scheduled and ultrasound to be safe.

I was still hemorrhaging and having contractions a couple times a week so they scheduled one to see if there was any placenta left in there. Sure enough I had retained placenta and had to get a d&c. They may want to check your uterus.
