I’m currently 35 weeks and 6 days and I came to the hospital yesterday morning with contractions I thought they just might have been Braxton Hicks contractions but my doctor wanted me to come get seen, well it turns out I was in early labor when I got here they checked my cervix I wasn’t dilated but I was softening so they monitored me for a few hours after about 20 minutes I got up to go to the bathroom and I was bleeding and lost a chunk of what we believe was my mucous plug my contractions went from being 8-10 minutes apart to being 4-6 minutes apart and they decided to check me at that point I was 1 cm dilated still bleeding slightly so they called my doctor and she started giving me medication to stop labor and put me on an iv I was supposed to take the medicine every 30 minutes to stop labor after the 3rd dose which was the maximum I was still in labor though my contractions had spaced back out to 8-10 minutes apart so they let me sit for another hour and the contractions started getting stronger and more frequent again meaning the medicine didn’t work like they had hoped, so they called my doctor and she decided to give me a steroid injection for my babies lungs to finish developing and a stronger medicine through injection to try and stop labor this medicine worked for a little while and had my contractions to 10-15 minutes apart after about 2-3 hours though they started coming back again and we’re back to 8-10 minutes apart so they gave me another dose of it and it again made my contractions about 10-15 minutes apart which is where I’m at now they had said they can only give me one more injection of this medicine to stop labor and that if I can go until 36 weeks without having him that they will stop trying to stop it at 36 weeks so for tonight I am admitted into labor and delivery for monitoring, my sweet baby boy is doing great heart rate has been perfect this whole time and he just keeps giving everyone a hard time about staying on the monitor he keeps wanting to hide to get away from it he has been so active the past few day’s I remember telling my fiancé 2 days ago now something is going on he’s way more active than he normally is I think I may go into labor soon but I didn’t think it would be this quickly
