We have a great idea for Mother’s Day gifts for our own mothers. Our baby is a boy and it is the first grandson for my husbands Parents as they already have a few granddaughters. This will be my mom’s first biological grandchild but has a few step grandchildren who don’t live anywhere near my parents. It is also the first great grandchild on my side of the family, so it’s extra special all the way around. We are pretty sure that none of our siblings who have had kids got to take any of our moms to an appointment for an ultrasound. So my husband and I decided that since we were going to pay for a private 3D/4D ultrasound anyway, that we would just wait until Mother’s Day and have both of our mothers join us to see their grandson. I’ll be 34 weeks pregnant so it will be really cool to see the baby and also spend quality time with our mothers on Mother’s Day. So if anyone needs a really cool idea and has a really good relationship with their mom and mother-in-law‘s this might be a good surprise. Even if you don’t do it on Mother’s Day itself it’s still something nice to write in a Mother’s Day card for them to join you. We are both excited. We will be telling our moms at our baby shower in a separate card to each of them.
