Has anyone had surgery during pregnancy?

Has anyone had to have a nonobstetric surgery during pregnancy?
How did it go, were you and baby okay?
The idea of having to go under general anesthesia when pregnant is causing so much anxiety 🙁

I had a ruptured ovarian cyst that caused internal bleeding at 4 weeks. Doctor thought it was an ectopic pregnancy. Everything went well. My son is 3.5 now.

My friend had to get her gall bladder out when she was 5 months pregnant. It was emergency surgery. She and the baby were fine. He’s 10 months and completely healthy.

Yes. Twice with my first pregnancy. Had a rare situation where I had to have a ureter stint placed and then replaced five weeks later. 29 weeks, then 34. Everyone did fine and we’re all healthy.

I didn’t. I did have to be sedated. I had a cerclage placed and was sedated for the procedure. Little one is now 11 weeks old.

Yes, I had a twisted ovary and had to have a general anaesthetic & surgery while pregnant with twins! It was scary... Especially when I woke up and was in recovery, as I didn’t know if my babies were still ok 😢 It did turn out fine though.

Not me but my sister had her appendix removed in her second trimester. Her and baby were both 100% okay. He’s a little over two now.
