Can someone please share with me their experience with having a scheduled c-section compared to their emergency c-section?

I had a HORRIBLE experience with my emerg csec and now that I'm pregnant again I keep having panic attacks at the thought of another csection.

My doctor has tried to ease my mind explain why so many things went wrong last time and why this time will be easier but if I just heard someone else's story, I feel it will help a little!
