How often does my newborn need a bath ??

She had one yesterday at 10 days old, how often should I give her one ?

A nurse at my hospital waited 2 weeks after she went home from.the hospital ..she said a newborns skin is so sensitive it s better to wait

About once a week. My son has really dry skin so we're trying to bathe him as little as possible. However, he had a poopsplosion the other day, so a bath made the most sense.

I waited until two weeks to give the first bath then once or twice a week, only soap once a week, I did some sponge baths if needed or if a big blow out they might get a sink bath

When I asked my paediatrician she literally shrugged and said it was up to me. Most important thing is to clean areas where skin folds over if baby is chubby, like the neck folds as they drool, spit up, etc.
