Are you iron deficient during pregnancy?

I know a handful of pregnant woman that are iron deficient, including myself. I didn't think it was that common!

I actually thought it was more common than not. I’ve yet to personally know a pregnant woman who didn’t end up iron deficient or anaemic!

At my last appointment my midwife questioned whether I had an iron transfusion recently, I said no never! She laughed and said I think you need to share some around 😂😂 
So I guess I have good iron levels 💁🏼‍♀️

Yes my doctor just put me on iron pills twice daily 😞

No. But I was in my previous pregnancy.

I didn't think it was that common either but I'm severely anemic, really hoping these iron pills help for the next time they check my blood work.

My OB said it was common. I’m anemic so take iron supplements daily and even with that I dropped below the normal levels. Not enough for her to worry though.
