Planned Csection?!!?

Hi mammas! So I had a csection with my first and my odds for a VBAC arnt very high so I’m gonna have to have another Csection. This one will be a planned c section while my first wasn’t. So I’m wondering for moms who’ve had planned c section how soon or close do the due date do they do it? I’m due September 8th and I’m assuming they will plan it before my due date but the weekend before is memorial weekend and the weekend before that August 29th is my brothers wedding 😬😬😬😬

The original thought was to schedule mine around 39 weeks but we never got that far. I ended up with one at 37+2 with a day’s notice due to preeclampsia.

My OBGYN’s policy is 39 weeks for the 1st planned c section. Depending on scarring and condition of the uterus she may schedule consecutive c sections earlier than 39 weeks but as a general guideline the first planned one is at about 39 weeks to avoid going into labour prior to the surgery. My first was an emergency c section and my second (first planned one) was at 39 weeks exactly.

Common practice is to schedule it for exactly 39 weeks. But if that falls on a weekend or other day that doesn’t work for you or the doctor they will do it a few dats after. 
I scheduled mine for my due date just for maternity leave purposes. My doctor was okay with it but just made sure I knew the risks of going into labor and then having to do an emergency one.

I had one scheduled for 40+1 but moved it to earlier because they couldn’t get my bp under control. I had mine at 38+1. It’ll depend on your medical history, doctor schedule, and hospital schedule.

I had my first planned c-section at 38+4. This one is at 39+6. They are both dates I picked and wanted.

I had an emergency c the first and a planned c the second time (it’s been 6 1/2 years now). Back then they did it two weeks early. 
Now they want the the baby to get all the time as long as it continues as a healthy pregnancy.
I’m currently scheduled for my third c in 4 days at 39+3! The doc early on said 39-40wks they schedule it now and we just picked the date we wanted. 
If I go into labor they’ll do it that day or if there was some other complication they’d do it early.

Both my c-sections were done at 39 weeks exactly. My doctor said the only way they would do it sooner was if it was medically necessary. My doctor likes to plan as close to 39 weeks as possible. 
My second she had originally planned on having done 39+1 and then had to change to 39 exactly.

My is scheduled for 39+2, most doctors do it at 39 weeks unless you have a medical need and need it earlier

First planned was at 37+6 but I had placenta problems so medically they did it about a week earlier than normal. This time I’m having my second planned one in two days and I’ll be 39+2. Usually around 39 weeks if there is no medical reason to do earlier
