We had our baby boy Feb

We had our baby boy Feb. 11 @12:35 am. I was due March 2 so I still had about 3 weeks to go.

I had some contractions on Sunday while I was at the store but they weren't consistent. On monday I went to work as usual but started having contractions soon after I arrived. Within the first hour or so, I had to use the bathroom at least 5-6 times but didn't really think much of it. I was walking through my contractions and could still talk through them, and again they were inconsistent, but happened all day.

After work, I went to my physical therapy appt, and surprisingly I only contracted a few times and were like braxton hicks. I left there to go to my parents house to pick up our 4 yr old daughter. I stayed and chatted for a while and had a phone call that lasted for over an hour. About 7:30-8p, the contractions started to get a little more intense and lower. I was still doing ok and able to talk through them.

I went home and got my daughter in the shower and ready for bed. I then ran some bath water for me to see if it would help relax me. After a few minutes in the tub, I decided to time them. They started off about 32-35 seconds long and about 5 min apart. Then I decided to change position and turn to my left side. It took about 10 mins and then back to every 5. This went on for about 45 min. I had texted my husband about what I was doing but he apparently hadn't read it right away while he was out. I got out, started putting on clothes and called hubby twice. He then calls me back and I tell him we need to get to the hospital. He asked if I had tried to relax (if he was there, I probably would have strangled him, lol). He was still in the town where he works (about an hr from where we live) cause he had to work a longer shift and then went to hang out a bit (again I could've strangled him). At this point, I can't talk through these contractions and they are coming about every 3 min. So he tells me to call my parents and so they come, my dad stays with my daughter cause she's asleep. My mom takes me to the hospital. I have never seen my mom drive so fast before.

We get there in about 10 min or so and as I'm getting out of my car I feel my water breaking. I get to the desk and I'm dripping on the floor. We get on the elevator to go to labor and delivery, and I'm dripping on the elevator. The nurse gets me the biggest wheelchair ever and I feel a gush while waiting to be taken back. They take me to my room and about 3-4 nurses are getting the room ready. I have another gush and dripping as they help me into the bed. Hubby texts to make sure I got there and let me know he's on the way, (he actually felt really bad for not being there to take me like we planned, but we both figured I had at least another week to go).

Anyway, the doctor (who is not in my practice of course) checks me and I was 7cm (I was 2cm the previous Thursday at my appt). And just like my daughter, no sooner then when she says that I soon feel the urge to push, and bam I was at 10cm. I pushed about 3-4 times and then he was here! We arrived at the hospital somewhere around 11:45-11:50p and he was born at 12:35a @ 37w1d! I expected him to come early but not 3wks early, he he came super fast.

Hubby was mad at himself for missing it but glad we made it there safely and he wasn't born in the car, lol! So here's baby Ashton!
