Dog issues pt 2- husband said no
My husband doesnt believe our dog is capable of hurting our son because he never sees him act aggressive (the 3 days hes around our son and dog)
I asked him if he didnt believe me and he says he does but then just keeps saying "well i never see it"
The past three times my dog has growled and lunged at my son my mom was here and saw it too.
It happened again today and my mom was just sitting my baby on the floor to play with his toys.
I told my husband we needed to start thinking about the safety of our son and my husband lost it on me
He wants to learn training online and wants try to train him the 3 days hes home (mind you were very busy with things we cant get out of on those days)
I told him that usually to train you have to expose them to thier trigger and correct them as it happens.
I told him i wasn't willing to take that risk with our son.
He said that i was a "shitty dog owner"
and that "im lazy" and "i cant do anything right" and he started bawling.
I told him to attack my character is unacceptable.
I know hes upset. I told him it isnt easy for me either but we have to think about the safety of our baby.
Then he continued to blame me for not training him right in the first place (neither did he..???) Hes said hes disappointed in me for giving up on our dog
It went down hill quick.
Guys... im just trying to keep my son safe.
My dog just seems to be getting more aggressive as time goes on.
I cant live with this fear now that hes mobile and my dog literally takes 3 seconds to snap.
Now my husband has made me feel like a garbage human being.
Im sick to my stomach.
I dont want to face my jackass husband or deal with this situation.
Send me some encouragement if youve been through similar. I cant believe my husbad isnt with me on this....
To clarify, im not allowing the dog around my baby anymore after todays incident regardless of my husband. I dont want to lock him in our room. I want him to have a family that is kid free and where hes happy. But i dont have much else i can do...
