Repeating words

Andy repeats everything we say but he won’t speak on his own. Other than the everyday words like wowow (dog), agua (water), papa (dad), mama (mom), mas (more), huevo (eggs, but he thinks all food is called the same thing so he calls everything huevo) he doesn’t say the new words he learns, that’s normal for this age right? He’ll be 8 months Friday.

My now 6yo sister had speech therapy up until 2yo, even though every child is different it worries me a little.
