Copper IUD Sucks

Hey guys so I just got my copper IUD 3 weeks ago and I already had a 7 day period the day after I got it inserted. The period went away completely for a few days then in the beginning of the next week I started spotting, which I knew was a side affect. Then last week (couple days after) the bleeding got super heavy cramping was horrible I could not survive without being on Motrin or something so I went to the hospital I didn’t know if this was normal or if this was a sign that it was attached to my uterus.. I even threw up a couple days into it. The hospital didn’t do anything and Im still bleeding really heavy, but going to OB today. Is this normal ?? It’s like I had two periods 5 days apart. This is not something they warned me about.. it also never came up in my research so please help 🥴☹️
