Am i overreacting?

My boyfriend and i are long distance, every time we have seen each other i flew there, i met his family and friends. My best friend since first grade is getting married and i have been telling him about her wedding for a year. He is now claiming he cant take off work yet takes off for anything his friends ask him to do.. beach trips, golfing.. anything. I have never asked him for anything and this one thing thats important for me cause shes been my best friend for 16 years and he wont. Im really let down and upset by this.. am i overreacting?
