Anatomy scan???

Hey girlies ❤️ I’m 21 weeks with my baby girl and I have my anatomy scan tomorrow. What should I expect ? What all will I be able to see if she actually cooperates? Blood draws? TIA 💘

They just do a very detailed ultrasound ,, mine took about an hour bc my girl was so hyper and wouldn’t sit still long enough. If they can’t get good shots for some reason you’ll have to reschedule. There should be no blood draws unless you are testing for something or having issues. Good luck!

Go in relaxed. They’re checking EVERYTHING. They count toes and fingers, look at hands and feet, heart valves, umbilical cord, etc. it tends to take a long time. Mine was 40 minutes or so. They take shots of your baby all over to make sure everything is perfect. Don’t try to read the ultrasound technician’s face lol they’re not allowed to discuss ANYTHING with you and they may also just have a blank face for no reason.
