Experiences with Provera

Friday I was prescribed and started taking Provera. We have been TTC for 2 years and I started looking into my fertility about 6 months ago. I have had extremely heavy and very painful periods, after a couple ultrasounds, they saw that nothing was amiss. My doctor put me on Provera to straighten out my periods but she said this also may help us to conceive. I was hoping someone might have any experiences they could share with using Provera without clomid.
