Do people fetishize "mixed" children

Now I'm not talking about if you meet someone of another race and you want to have their kids because you love them (or think they will be a good parent) . I think that's totally beautiful. I mean if you dont have a partner and you already know you want to have a baby with someone who is of a specific race in order to have a baby that is biracial. I know some women (and men!) Who specifically want a child that is biracial. I dont have any problem with biracial children and I think interracial relationships should be normalized but also I wonder if its possibly appropriation of some kind (I dont know any other fitting word so if you have one please let me know) to be a person of a certain race and to go out of your way to be sure that you have a biracial child. It feels strange to me since the thought of having a child with someone never included race for me but at the same time I dont have super strong feelings either way. This is a touchy topic because I want to be clear that I am 100 percent for interracial relationships and support everyone being with whoever they love. It's just the specific mindset of wanting a biracial child and having a child with someone just for that reason only. Also I will state that its predominately white people that i hear saying they want "mixed" children which makes me feel like it's something that could be seen as appropriation.
