Would it bother you?

Would it bother you if your in laws don’t ask about the pregnancy or how you’re doing? Only my fiancé’s brother and his wife is genuinely excited for us. Other than that the rest of the in laws could give 2 shits that I’m pregnant. My family and our friends of course are super happy for us and always asking how the pregnancy is going and other things.

It used to but I don’t care anymore. We are expecting our 4th baby and they’ve never liked me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It doesn’t bother me so much while I’m pregnant, but the fact that my MIL has seen my daughter about 9 times in her life, yet she can check on my stepdaughters and see them regularly and see my SIL’s kids 5 out of 7 days a week, that bothers me. Like my child is somehow less worthy. She’s amazing and my MIL is missing out. My daughter doesn’t even know who she is. And yes, she lives pretty close. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not a good enough relationship with them. I would rather them say nothing then say nasty mean things. I’m good with silence

My SIL and (step) FIL never congratulated us either, after we struggled with multiple miscarriages for years.  They never asked and then they proceeded to either ignore our family/or be rude and mean. Now we don’t see them anymore as the environment is too toxic.

I wanted them too but now that I have no intention of maintain s relationship with them, it doesn’t bother me

I think it depends really. If they don’t normally ask about personal life stuff I wouldn’t really care but if it seems out of character then they would bother me

Meh, it doesn't really bother me if my in laws don't ask. If they do, cool but if not oh well. I'm only concerned with my husband and I. And I'm honestly too tired and worn out to even think about other ppl during my pregnancy right now.

My in laws dont even ask their own son how hes doing, they only ask as a courtesy if they need something. But I'm not close to my in laws anyhow so it doesn't bother me

I think with the first pregnancy it is all we can think about and we expect others to be the same. But there is a lot more going on in life. Yes they could occasionally ask but don’t get upset over it
