what’s the rule with talking to a guy who your friend talked to but then she was the one who broke things off?

ok so like I kinda liked him first but I’m bad w boys and so never really said anything other than he was cute. but then they kissed (while drunk) and both liked each other and so then talked for like a month but never went on any dates. She broke things off bc she was looking for a bf and didn’t think he wanted that and she was also talking to another guy who she liked more. We’re also all in the same friend group and she didn’t wanna ruin things. I don’t wanna do that either especially bc this is a new friend group this year and we all hangout often.

But ugh I do like him and think about him. I found out we both like this one song from an artist that’s kinda underrated and it’s a love song. And we just laugh when we’re together.

He most likely does not feel the same and I probably won’t make a move bc I’m kinda shy and bad at shooting my shot lolol but like would it be wrong if I did?!?!
